Scleritis: You certainly have autoimmune issue. Sceritis is specific sign and is associated with lupus, RA, Wegners or Relapsing polrchondritis. What to do? Many autoimmune issues markedly benefited with food allergy testing. Consult, if you would like to explore. In my opinion although they have different names there etiology the same.

Many possibilities: As Dr. Hickerson and Miller said, there are many types of autoimmune issues. Advise testing anti-thyroid antibodies and foos allergies as they suggest. Autoimmune disease often triggered by toxins and microbes; an Integrative Dr. can help find and address the causes.
