Can be many things: how many months? have you been vaccinated for mumps? it has to be looked at in person

Swelling: Swelling needs to be examined>diagnosed>treatment planned. Could be TMJ issue. But more likely infection, blocked parotid gland duct, neoplasm, calcification, and many other possibilities. See Oral Surgeon or ENT. Obviously just trying to wait it out is not a successful treatment modality.
