Cheek burning/both cheek swelling/jaw pain. doctor said it might be tmj. naproxen doesn't work. what to do?

Further testing: Needed, like x-rays or ct scan to determine if the cause is TMJ , but the direct cause of the burning and aching cheek muscle is bruxism , which can be treated by a simple night guard, ask your dentist

Dental abscess: All pains about the mouth and the face to be of dental origin until proven otherwise. Dental infection due to tooth abscess, gum abscess or combination of both. It is a treatable condition. See your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment. Most medical specialists cannot diagnose many cases of dental problems. Good luck.
