Red injuries: If the red spots are flat they may be areas of capillary leaks(petechiae). These tiny skin vessels become fragile with vit c deficiency or the taking of aspirin or medications like Aleve or abnormally low platelets. They can also be caused by autoimmune disorders. If recurrent spontaneous petechiae occur in other parts of your body or if you have nose bleeds, gum bleeding, consult a hematologist.
