No:: (Seroxat is Paroxetine, which is called Paxil in U.S.). Both of those meds are among the worst as far as having more discontinuation effects when you stop, but they are effective antidepressants. The Paroxetine tends to have more risk of weight gain/sedation vs. the Venlafaxine tends to have more risk of irritability. Either med can be good if it works for you.
