Folliculitis: If you have a difficult to treat folliculitis, you probably should see a dermatologist to get help. Since you had no relief with the treatments you mentioned, another antibiotic choice would be Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). Sometimes in difficult to treat cases you may have to take the antibiotic for a month or more. Good luck.
