No worries: HSV is transmitted through skin-to-skin contact and not casual contact. Simply handing things back and forth would not put you at risk acquiring the virus.

No worries: Oral herpes is usually not transmitted that way. Most people have caught oral HSV1 by the time they reach adulthood. They catch it from direct contact with parents, siblings, and other family members... such as when parents kiss their babies. Having oral HSV1 is considered normal because it is so common among Earth's population. If having frequent outbreaks, one can take daily preventive medicine.
