Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

Either one, but rare: Herpes simplex virus (HSV) rarely infects the hand. When it happens, usually as herpetic whitlow (google for photos), it's usually HSV1, but HSV2 is possible. Whitlow usually occurs simultaneously with a newly acquired oral or genital infection. Herpes zoster (shingles) could affect the hand, usually not in the form of whitlow. If you think you have any of these, see a doctor ASAP.
