A member asked:

Can you get hsv1 from sharing popcorn with someone who has it like they put some in their mouth then put their hand back in to get more can i get it

Likely no: While you shouldn't share drinks or utensils with someone who is having symptoms from their hsv, finger-to-finger contact over popcorn should not be a big risk. If you're worried, get a bowl and have separate servings of the popcorn.

Depends: If the other person had an active lesion shedding viral cells, then yes. Not very likely but possible. If no active lesions , then no.
