Check again: Even a non-displaced FRACTURE takes 4-6 weeks to heal completely! Maybe the doctor meant you can remove it for periods of time when you are doing NOTHING with the arm/hand.. BTW always follow-up ER visits with your GP (family physiian) is a follow up has not been arranged by the ER doctor!!!!!!! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
