I am concerned that my wife does not rest well enough when she sleeps i dont really want to disturb her if the baby want breastmilk and would like to know if its oky to give the baby formula milk when she is and breastmilk when she is awake newborn?

Mixed response: Any external formula you give baby will reduce babies drive to feed. That can trigger a weaning in a breastfeeding mom. A better deal would be for you to do some mommy chores so she can nap when baby does so she will not be exhausted all the time.
