Probably Not: Bitewing radiographs are used to detect carious lesions between your teeth and can help in visualizing the periodontal bone levels. A panoramic radiograph would be needed to see the entire height of your mandible as well as your maxilla and sinuses.

Probably not: Bite-wing x-rays are used to screen for cavities between the crowns of the teeth, within the teeth, and the height of bone support between the teeth. To visualize the areas where most facial tumors occur would require a Panoramic x-ray or a Full Mouth Series of peri-apical (around the root ends) films, and should be taken approximately once ever 3 years.
