I have a swollen top eyelid which is very red, there is no head(pimple) and the swelling is getting worse and is very painful what can i do to bring the swelling down?

Stye: There are few conditions that can cause eyelid inflammation with stye being common, specifically with pain. Applying warm compresses 3-4 times/day for 15 min may help as most resolve by themselves in 2-3 days. In case progression is noted instead, antibiotics may be needed and seeking advise from your doc ( PCP or GP) is recommended.

Warm compress: Start with warm compress and consider anti inflammatory like ibuprofen to start. You may need either topical or oral antibiotic depending on the condition but would suggest sending pictures to your doctor or a telemedicine site to get more conclusive direction. Any affect on vision and is the sclera inflamed?
