Some basics: HPV will usually clear its primary infection in anyone within 2 yrs. You can pass it most often during the initial phase, but less so after clearance. The wart strains are a pest, but no great danger to either. The non-wart strains are less worrisome in men & many have evidence of past infection by their 20's. As many as 70%+ of women are HPV positive, & most go on to have happy families.
