Would abdominal x ray with barium swallow reveal severe gastritis??

Barium Swallow: evaluates the esophagus. The stomach is not specifically evaluated. It is possible that gastritis might be incidentally discovered during a barium swallow, but a barium swallow is not designed to look at the stomach. An upper GI series or endoscopy would be more appropriate.
