Chronic Diarrhea: Chronic diarrhea can be due to a lot of things. Stool studies are done to rule out infectious etiogies. Make sure you get tested for thyroid disorder/lactose intolerance/celiac disease/chronic pancreatitis. If all workups are negative, chronic diarrhea might be from ibs (irritable bowel disease) specially if its associated with abdominal pain.
