Speak with your : GP (Primay Care Provider) Why do you think you have "sleep paralysis".....do you mean sleep apnea??? How much alcohol do you consume??? Are you on any "sedative" or "anti-anxiety" medications. The very fact that you believe you have this disorder means IT SHOULD BE EVALUATED! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

Some basics: Sleep comes in various stages from very light to very deep. Some people experience an exaggerated light stage where you are aware of things around you but are not able to move or wake further until the stage changes. If this is what you have experienced it is not a sign you are dying or other terrible things. You need to relax a bit & have a sleep study done to sort this out.
