"5 days post-op": You should not drive a car so soon after major surgery, since a sudden stop and stepping on the brake can make the incision open up, and cause repeat surgery as well as extreme anxiety if it does ! Most surgeons will tell a patient to not drive for at least 4-6 weeks after this kind of surgery.
