Just make sure to ask the surgeon all the questions you may have prior to discharge. Sometimes they will consider hormone replacement therapy to help prevent the early onset of osteoporosis and other complications so this would be a good discussion to have as well. Otherwise, would avoid lifting anything over 20lbs for at least 6 weeks, and the same with sexual intercourse.
