Retained ovary?: When we remove ovaries, there is a possibility that a small portion of one or both ovaries is 'retained' and active. This is one good explanation as to why you are having temperature instability at the usual age of menopause. Also, consider that there are other causes of these sweating spells, such as thyroid or heart disease - go to your doctor and get checked out!
