A member asked:

I am 49 years old. not in menopause yet, and healthy. would it be wise to continue replacing the marena as i have been doing before and after my kids?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex issue: Since you could remain fertile for several more years your answer becomes a complex one. Would another system be safe & effective ? Would your memory be up to the task of a daily pill ? Would your spouse accept condoms ? Would a copper IUD with no hormonal features be better ? These are things you need to consider before you schedule a visit with your doc.
