Severe abdominal pain and severe pain on both ovary sides. could this be caused by the mirena? this is my second mirena. first one i had in for less that a year. dr found follicular cyst. had to do surgery. the replaced old one with a new mirena.

Cysts: Certainly the Mirena could be a factor. Mirena changes the hormonal state of your body and this can have an effect on producing ovarian cysts. Given your history this would likely explain your symptoms.
