Shouldn't be problem: A twist in your small bowel could turn into an internal tourniquet that cuts off the blood supply to part of your intestines. Since that process poses a significant risk to your health leading to emergency surgery it is unlikely to face an approval problem. Let the surgeon's staff worry about any pre-approval authorization. Such a revision while you are in stable health is the preferred option.
