I'm 17.never had a sunburn.i detected a mole.it appeared some time ago.it is light-brown and very diffuse.not symmetrical. can it be melanoma?

Unlikely: The fact is a melanoma can have a variety of appearances. Your history and age would go against it being one but only an evaluation by your doc or a dermatologist could sort this out. Whether you do this at any regular scheduled visit or set up one for it specifically is up to you.
