Had mole removed, 3mm, all brown, had irregular borders. i think it's been there long time & i don't think it's changed. can't sleep, chance melanoma?

Biopsied?: Did the doctor who removed it sent the specimen for pathological analysis(biopsy). Though it had irregular border, if it was not increasing in size fastly, no pain, no itching,no easy bleeding tendency, no change in color, no change in pigmentation , no change in thickness then no need to worry. Follow with your dr. who removed it once in every 2-3 years , for the next 5-10 years for reassurance

Dear Anxious: As hard as is it not to know, you will need to wait until the pathology report returns. Being less than 6 mm in diameter is a positive. The fact that it is all one color is also a positive. Also , not evolving or changing is a good thing. Try not to think of worse case scenarios. Take care.
