A member asked:

How likely is it that a 21 year old male with many nevi & no family history of melanoma will get it? had 1 bad sunburn & some skin reddening as a kid.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High enough: Don't even calculate odds. Watch your skin and get suspicious lesions off at once. That way your odds of dying of melanoma are quite low, and that is really what we care about.
