father at 55yr old had a hemorrhagic stroke. bleeding in the brain stopped, swelling keeps getting worst. will the swelling subside? will he recover?

Prognosis of stroke: If the brain swelling subsides,he can recover,but can not predict to what level.Very unlikely to return to normal life. Talk to the treating doc about the current status.
