Very sorry to hear : TPA has been a miracle for stroke patients often saving patients who in the past would be crippled for life. But the same blood thinning that can save a stroke can also cause bleeding. The neurosurgeon is best suited to Discuss prognosis. Much will depend on how much damage was done before the TPA. Wishing you the best for your father.
