Stroke: It may take some time for the brain to fully recover after a stroke, but it sounds like he would benefit from some physical therapy, either at home or at a rehab facility. Your father's primary physician can arrange for a visiting nurse and physical therapy at home. You should watch for any changes in his physical ability or new weakness or change in mental status. If that occurs then call 911.
