1:160 homogenous ana, all other blood/urine tests were normal. no other symptoms. ana test was done by gi. bad reaction to antibiotics. why positive?

Probably nothing: Several percent of healthy folks have positive ANA's around this titer. Nobody knows why but the vast majority of them never get lupus or seem to be any the worse.
