IUD and menses: It depends on when in your cycle you removed it. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) makes the lining thin and so it may take a while until your body adjusts. Still, it should return within 1 -2 months. I would monitor the bleeding and see your doctor if it doesn't come after that time and you are not pregnant.
