Probably yeast: This is probably yeast, not pH imbalance. Even though your problem is persistent and perhaps not responding to the usual treatments, his probably will respond well to a standard anti-yeast cream or ointment. Any product with active ingredient ending in "azole" (miconazole, clotrimazole, and many more) probably will work. He can ask a pharmacist for advice. If it doesn't work, he should see doctor.
