About 1 week: is the incubation period for HFMD, patients are contagious during the incubation periods and after, at times for weeks, other healthy opoersons can be carriers and spread it. The only way to avoid infection, is frequent hand washing, avoid kissing, hugging, sharing objects as utensils/cups, etc with diseased persons, disinfecting door knobs, and objects around patients, wish you wellness
