Prostaglandins: There is a surge of prostaglandins just before your period. These are neurotansmitters and they can definitely cause body aches and even low grade fever (like 99 degrees). These are common, especially for women who suffer from pmdd and endometriosis. The best treatment you're likely already doing: nsaids like Ibuprofen help to block prostaglandins. If your worried, check with your md.

Breast engorgment : Breast engorgment often causes fever and flu like symptoms. If breast milk gets backed up this happens. Emptying the milk by pumping can often solve the problem. This is one possibility you can investigate while waiting to see your doctor.
