Acid Reflux: If lansoprazole helps, then your symptoms are due to acid reflux from your stomach. I would recommend that you avoid anything which makes your symptoms worse, such as alcohol, cigarettes, acidic foods, onions, and tomatoes, and take the lansoprezole daily for two weeks. If your symptoms return after you stop the medication, then I would go to see your doctor. Good luck.

Heartburn ?: Most likely this is acid reflux or heartburn but gallbladder disease could also be considered. Since lansoprazole helps it is more likely heartburn. Ulcer disease is also a consideration. You should see your doctor to sort this out.
