No: This is not expected from giving birth. Are you taking any medication such as NSAID for pain? If you have trouble swallowing or breathing, you need to see your doctor or go to ER ASAP. If this is not causing any distress or is improving, you may wait a few more days to see if it will resolve. May try oral antihistamine every 8 to 12 hrs in the meanwhile.
