Uvulitis : Inflammation of the uvula can be due to injury or infection. If your swollen uvula is not causing you any difficulty with breathing and swallowing then there is not much need to worry really. If it persists more than a week then a review with your doctor is ideal

Swollen uvula: This can happen after a night of mouth breathing and snoring. It will usually be self limited, but sometimes taking a short course of steroids is helpful. If you are still swollen tomorrow, you should see your doctor to evaluate and possibly treat with oral steroids.
