Little or none: Invisalign aligners only cover the teeth so there is very little or no affect to speech while wearing them. You may get a small lisp which normally disappears in a day or two.

Unlikely: The aligners don't cover the palate so sppeech is rarely affected.

Nope: I have treated thousands of patients with invisalign, from doctors to teenagers. Lawyers, teachers and cops. No one complains that it effects their speech after getting use to them for a few days.

Invisalign & speach: Your speach will be affectived throughout treatment but more so at the beginning. After a few days no one but you will pick up on any funny sounds.

Slight temporary: The first couple of days you may note a slight lisp but otherwise patients are always surprised that there are no speech issues with invisalign. The aligners conform tightly to your teeth and do not cover your palate like a traditional retainer - so speech is not affected.

Not really: The up-side is that your tongue really adapts to the clear aligners in just a few days, making any very minor speech alteration very temporary. The down-side is that clear aligners are less than half as effective as braces in the hands of a qualified orthodontist, and less so in the hands of a general dentist with less orthodontic training and experience. Remember to wear them all the time.

No: It takes about 2 days for you to sound normal to yourself, but others around you will not notice.

It's temporary: Because the aligners literally fit like a glove around the teeth, any impact on speech will be negligible and temporary. A few patients have noticed a change when first placed, but that change is usually absent within 24 hours of replacement, as the tongue adapts quite readily to the aligners.

It can: It does so for most people. Usually you adapt quickly and the affect is minimal. For some it does not resolve until treatment is complete. Good luck.

Almost none : Invisalign has very little effect, if any on speech. Like all orthodontic treatments, Invisalign may temporarily affect your speech; however, this is quite rare and for a short duration.
