Invisalign or braces: Each has its place depending upon the individual circumstances of the case. The ability of the orthodontist performing the service is more important than the technique used. Find the best orthodontist you can and discuss your treatment options.

Your choice, but ...: For teens we typically recommend braces. Teens tend to lose or damage invisalign trays. Also, braces tend to be cheaper, faster, and potentially more effective as they provide the doctor greater control of tooth movement. As there is really no 'stigma' for teens to wear braces, they are typically overall a better choice.

Braces: First of all make sure you're seeing a qualified Orthodontist for Rx. Second, braces Rx can provide about 95% improvement in teens. Clear aligners (that only work if they are worn) result in less than 50% improvement. Talk this over with a pro, an Orthodontist. And if you wish get a second opinion. Wouldn't use it for my family.

Neither: If you are looking for the best, conventional braces are the very best. That is not to say that in the right doctors hands that excellent treatment cannot be done with either of the types mentioned. But, invisalign is crippled by the physics of tooth movement, and incognito is very hard to master for difficult cases. If you must, go with what your orthodontist is best at.

Braces: Invisalign generally only tilts the teeth to a new position. They will return to their previous position if you do not use the invisalign retainers forever. Braces first tilts then bodily moves the tooth to the new positon. This is more stable, however if there is some movement; then a finish functional orthopedic needs to be worn.
