Why would a doctor do an internal ultrasound as well as a normal one?

To get a better look: Sometimes we can see certain structures better transabdominally than transvaginally and vice versa. Sometimes you can see everything you need to with one or the other. Transvaginal ultrasound is usually better for looking at the endometrium and the ovaries, but not always. It depends on the patient, everyone is different.
