4 weeks post op:doc did an ultrasound of my mdn nerve at the point it was transected yestdy. it was repaired and in tact -however the nerve was inflamed as well.is that normal during nerve regeneration?

Could be: As trauma and also surgery can amount an inflammatory respond to repair tissue damage.
