Expectations: It is good that baby has been seen. I suspect an infection was found but you did not note it. Antibiotics, if they work, will take time to influence the fever. Fever meds seldom take more than a degree off the top of any fever. If the fever exceeds 39 after 3-4 days it is time to have the doc re-check.
