My 8 year old was treated for high fever cough cold, after antibiotics, fever of 99-100f temperature still persists, is it normal? please help!

Fever/antibiotics: Antibiotics may take 2-3 days for the infection to get bacterial infectionunder control times. Fever is normal body mechanism to fight infections.Temperatue rise helps the body to fight infections. Temp of under 100 is not considered fever, adn is is already lower. Jsut wait it out, if the child is feeling better than before.
