Some basics: Modern commercial formulas are designed to mimic the nutritional benefits of breastmilk. They must meet standards designed for patient safety. That said, they cannot replace the living antibodies found in human milk. Kids will grow well on BM alone, BM + formula (mixed correctly) or formula alone. The choice of what to do should be based on what you need to do to survive motherhood.
