Complex question: you didn't mention what type diabetes parents have? however a simple convineint answer, but not a fact, is: LADA diabetes can be considered as type 1 diabetes with a prolonged honey moon phase, so it is still an autoimmune disease without an inheritance pattern, hope this helps
