Preventing diabetes: Make sure you exercise regularly, attain and maintain an ideal weight, cut your carbs other than non-starchy vegetables. Avoid sugar and all sweeteners. Even artificial sweeteners increase your risk for diabetes. Be mindful of who you spend your time with. You will tend to eat like them and exercise (or not) like them.
