Recurrent UTI in men: First, be sure the diagnosis of recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI) is correct. Other conditions might be responsible (e.g., interstiatial cystitis, certain drugs, others). If recurrent UTI is certain, males your age almost always have an underlying problem that needs treatment, especially partial blockage from enlarged prostate, kidney stone, and others. If in doubt, see a urologist.
