Is it wise for a 18 month old with tonsilitis to attend a swimming class?

Depends: If this was diagnosed as strep A and has been treated at least a day it is fine. The kid would no longer be contagious. If it is viral the kid is likely contagious for at least a week after first symptoms. If so I would not go.
