A member asked:

I used a machine to monitor heart rate for a few minutes, and the lowest was 40 bpm. all others were between 60 and 100 bpm. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It could mean: that your heart rate temporarily dropped into the 40's, but more likely means that the monitor failed to track your heart rate properly for part of the time, which is a common problem with commercial heart rate monitors. The only way to know for sure is to see a professional and get a Holter Monitor. Hope this helps!
