Meniscus: You may have an acute meniscus tear. This is the cartilage between the two leg bones at the knee. You could also have a collateral ligament sprain. These are the two diagnoses that come to mind. When you are able to see a Doctor - get the correct diagnosis so you won't have the pain and discomfort. In the meantime visit the pharmacy for a knee brace, Take Tylenol or other OTC pain reliever.
